Colorectal cancer screening

A simple, preventive check today gives you peace of mind for tomorrow.

Colorectal screening is aimed at apparently healthy people with no obvious symptoms, with the goal of detecting and removing precancerous polyps early, or identifying cancer at an early, fully treatable stage.

Who it is for & when to start

  • Age threshold: According to international guidelines, screening is recommended to start systematically from the age of 45 to 50 for the general population.
  • Family & personal history: If there is a family history of polyps or colorectal cancer (first-degree relatives), screening should start significantly earlier and be repeated at shorter intervals.

Available screening methods

  1. Colonoscopy (the gold standard): The most complete and reliable examination, which not only identifies any lesions or polyps but also allows them to be removed painlessly in the same session (polypectomy) under light sedation.
  2. Stool tests (such as the FIT immunochemical test): A simple, non-invasive laboratory test for detecting microscopic, invisible blood in the stool. A positive result is always followed by a diagnostic colonoscopy.

Our approach

There is no “one size fits all” solution. We discuss your age, history and preferences with you in detail, to choose the safest path together. How often screening is repeated is determined strictly by your examination findings, ensuring continuous, long-term protection.
